About Eleanor

Eleanor Acres Event Center is named in honor of Eleanor Weiss, who bravely fought cancer and lost her final battle in 1985 at the age of 44. She was an extraordinary mother and a compassionate, selfless person who consistently put the needs of others before her own. Eleanor was a gentle and powerful advocate for children, animals, and anyone in need. In her name, we carry forward the values she lived by — bringing together families, friends, neighbors, and even those we haven’t met yet, while supporting people who are facing hardship.

Eleanor Acres exists to provide a warm, welcoming, and accessible place where people can gather, celebrate, and connect. We create meaningful events with heart, dignity, and genuine care — serving our community with respect, flexibility, and a personal touch that makes every experience memorable.

About the Owners

Owners Judith and Geoff Weiss are deeply committed to the mission of Eleanor Acres. Geoff, the son of Eleanor, manages the event venue with the same kindness, humility, and heart that defined his mother. His dedication is the living expression of the values she carried. Although Eleanor is no longer with us, her spirit continues through the space, the service, and the connections made here. Geoff hopes that every person who visits Eleanor Acres feels that legacy — and leaves with a little more warmth, comfort, and community than when they arrived.
